My fantastic mum turned 50 on Wednesday. Kate and I took her to a very cute coffee and cupcake shop for afternoon tea and then we went out for a yummy Thai dinner with the rest of the family.
It was a nice afternoon/evening though the downside for me was, William not sleeping all afternoon and screaming the majority of the way home and me getting car sick trying to calm him - it got better once Steve finally arrived after having a meeting run late (apparently it's not customary to walk out in the middle of a meeting just to come and rescue your exhausted wife and calm your screaming son - who knew? :-) I vented some frustration at him being late, managed to settle my stomach, calmed down and was asleep before my head hit the pillow when I eventually got to bed that night.
Happy birthday Mum - you're a legend and are very spunky for a 50 year old! A better mummy I could not ask for! Love you xoxo
