Aftershock

Last night we held Aftershock at NBC. It’s basically a night where a whole heap of other youth groups come from around the area and............do stuff. We had three various inflatable “activity centres.” (those being, a jumping castle, an obstacle course and basketball bungee) Three different bands played, there were some competitions and they launched a “Make Poverty History” campaign. We had free fairy floss available and a snack bar and a cage to play dodge ball in, along with a graffiti wall and............I think that’s it. Steve has been working around the clock on this event and we are glad it’s over and we can have a bit of a breather (and a catch up on blogging) but all went well with no major injuries to people or property (though the carpet will probably never be the same again and there was a slight issue with an inflatable giraffe head causing a potential roof cave in but all in all - nothing major!) . Thank you over and over to all the people who helped make the night a success – we couldn’t have done it without you. And Steve, as always, I think you’re amazing and you did a fantastic job – love you xoxo
I think it looks like a Care Bear blew up! And this wasn't all of the fairy floss - we ended up with about 800 bags.

Dawn is "here to help"
These two photos (above and below) are dedicated to Kate - your husband worked hard (just look - he has duct tape and rope and a whole lot of buttons to push!) Thanks for letting us have Steve for the night - and thanks Steve for all your hard work and support.
Lisa and Tanya patrolled the entrance

The always beautiful Steph and Jodi

We had close on about 400 people there
