The Mother of All Lollipops!!

My sister recently spent time in America (as in the United States of) and found something quite extraordinary that she bought back to share with me. Firstly - some background - since we were kids (and the craze has continued into "adult"hood) Kate and I have been obsessed with these little sherbert lollipops that (in the good ole days) you could buy for 10 cents at your local convenience shop, fish and chip shop or servo (you know in the big plastic cannister and you'd go and ask for a dollars worth and they'd put them in a little paper bag?) (now I think the price has jumped to about 15 or 20 cents - shock, horror!!) Anyway - we love these lollipops and I actually think many people will be familiar with these ones - they come in pink and blue or yellow and orange (pink and blue are generally the favourite) Anyway I'm getting a bit sidetracked here...................so Kate's in America and we had had a few conversations on msn about how huge the meals are over there (and just a little supporting evidence for that - I seem to remember when we were over there as kids that we ordered two caeser salads for 4 people when half of one of those would of fed all of us with leftovers) Anyway so bearing that in mind - imagine the look on my face when she showed me our favourite childhood lolly - in SUPERSIZE!! (Leonie - I've got one with your name on it!!)
On the left - American version On the right - Australian version
I actually don't think you could eat one of the supersize ones in one sitting - we're talking a lollipop eating marathon!
Seriously - I'm thinking the US one is about six times the size

No WAY! I think Kate must have brought it back from Heaven! And I absolutely think you could eat it in one sitting...all you need is a few episodes of Gilmore Girls to get you through!! (By the way, got the 2nd season ready and waiting!)
