Ok -- it's a bit after the fact but the first week of the last school holidays was Kids Games. It's a big crazy fun week where kids come together and play games basically :-) There's also craft and story time etc. It started with an opening ceremony on Sunday and ended with a family and friends BBQ on Friday night with the daily program running from 8:30am-12:30pm Monday to Friday. Steve was a team manager and organised ours to be run at the school where he works. It was a pretty crazy week but it went smoothly and we're happy with how it all turned out in the end. We had fantastic help from heaps of people who we can't thank enough. It was a great team effort from everyone involved. From my perspective I would have been sitting rocking in a corner of the tuckshop if I hadn't had David, Elaine, Christine and Jenny's help in the kitchen to feed the hungry mass of people each day. And Steve - well what can I say about Steve?? He doesn't like these photos very much - but if someone said to you, "Run a kids holiday program, there'll be about 70 kids and 20 adults for you to co-ordinate as well as sorting out all the parents of the kids, the payment, the menu, the team t-shirts, the medical forms, the program itself, see that everyone's fed, take care of the multitude of other details that come with organising such an event and do it on a budget that is practically non-existent," - ask yourself - would you look half as good? He's my Super Steve!
