Kindy Concert

William's first kindy concert - my boy is getting big! While the animals, merry go round and sausage sizzle where a hit, the standing in front of people wearing a shepherds hat was not! Maybe it was because he was intimidated by the other kids full on robe, head gear and shepherd's staff get up when he just had a tea towel on his head or maybe it's because of the fact that both Steve and I avoid doing anything looking like "public speaking" like one would avoid the plague perhaps he was never genetically wired to be "centre stage" so to speak OR maybe he's just two and didn't feel like being a shepherd. In the lead up he kept saying "I be the sheep and Daddy be the shepherd." After the last song (during which he ran across the front from where Steve was sitting close for security reasons to where I was sitting for taking photo reasons) he turned to me and said "that was a good song hey Mum?" and has been singing songs ever since. Oh well - maybe his angelic little face will stay up on "stage" next year!

Before the attempts at getting him to wear a shepherd's hat and sing in public began.
The brief 30 seconds he wore the tea towel which only happened
because he had a piece of cake in his hand....
Shepherd's hat + cake = winning combination (for as long as the cake holds out)
A more accurate photo description of William's opinion of the whole affair.
