It's been awhile since I've done a 'Thankful Thursday' post - I've been meaning too but have never got around to it. This morning I was a bit grumpy when I woke up so I guess it's the perfect opportunity to practise being thankful!
I am thankful for how William is growing and developing. He's doing new things (though not walking yet!) and his movements are getting so much more detailed. Putting lids on and off, posting letters in his toy letter box, stacking rings, simple puzzles etc. I love watching him sit by himself and work on a "problem" such as how to get this lid back on a bottle :-)
He is clever and amazing and I love him!
I am thankful for our house. Every now and then I go through a bit of a "I could really do with a new, 4 bedroom plus office house with double garage, 3 separate living areas, big block and inground pool" phase. (Ok well that was a bit of an over reaction but you get the idea) But I can honestly say that when I'm tucked up at home with my boys just enjoying being a family, our little house may as well be the most spectacular architecturally designed house in the world!
I am thankful for this blue cupboard that my sister bought and repainted before her first baby was born seven (!!!) years ago and passed on to us (along with the rest of the baby furniture) when we were expecting William. It holds the majority of William's toys and books and
means we have a spot for everything to go and aren't constantly tripping over stuff.
I spent some time tidying it up this morning and was pleased with the results!
I am thankful for, odd, funny little things that happen. William was pushing his toy box around this morning and I just stepped in to the office to get the camera to take a photo for this blog post and I stepped back out and William was flat on his back in the middle of the hallway. He'd obviously tripped and fallen over while pushing the toy box and wasn't overly concerned by it - he just looked a bit surprised to be suddenly on his back where a second ago he's been standing up! There were no tears and he lay there for a few minutes as if to say "well I'm here now, I might as well have a bit of a rest!" Cuteness Plus.
