Well Red Shield is over for another year. Give or take a few issues with the new ridiculous banking system, all went well and we reached our target for the area. Actually I saw on the news the following day that giving to the appeal was up something like 3.4% on last year. As Merrilyn - my money counter in shining armour said, "What recession?" It's really weird that it went really well in the middle of this "global financial crisis" but good on everyone who gave and thank you to all the amazing volunteers who door knocked and helped in the counting house. We really appreciate your help.
An extra special thank you to Merrilyn - without her help we would have had a much more difficult and stressful day. You are a total legend Merrilyn and I appreciate you so very very much.
Yes, Leonie is wearing a daggy Red Shield apron and no, I don't know why................. :-P

schexy leoni, schexy. :p
Excuse me. As you may recall, I undertook the very important role of Appeal Chairperson on that day. My responsibilities required me to be easily identifiable, so people could confer with me on the very important and confidental matters. And yes Kate, the red vest is oh-so-'schexy'!
Yours Faithfully,
Leonie Moore
Appeal Chairperson
