Heading Home

The rather surreal event of taking William home occured on Tuesday February 24. It was that day that I realised that I hadn't been outside my hospital room from the time they wheeled me in to the moment we walked out (aside from 2 trips to the water cooler - located 1 step outside my door - to fill my water jug!) Will and I had been cocooned in a dimly lit, air conditioned room with midwives and doctors on call 24/7 and a nursery down the hall for 4 days and the time had come to venture out into the big wide world where there's sunlight and trees and grass and blue sky and all manner of other crazy things - all a bit scary really but we managed to get home in one piece with a quick stop at the shops for some Subway.

Out in the big wide world!

Being safely buckled in by Daddy

Ready to rock n roll

Getting home is rather exhausting business!

It is wierd isn't it, being cocooned in your little world. You can see outside but you just don't go. Who would've thought you would spend 2-3days in the one room.
