Youth Camp

Luke was the best man at our wedding and he and Steve have this thing that whenever he comes near me Steve makes a thing of "bashing" him up - you have to be there but it is quite funny :-)

Last weekend we had our annual youth camp at Tewantin. We had about 43 young people and leaders go and it was a good weekend without too many major injuries. Steve runs really good camps in my opnion. He's not cranky and mean and old fashioned which growing up was my experience at most camps. He's works hard to make it as fun as possible for the kids and joins right in with them swinging over mud pits and flinging people over 4 metre high walls - he's just ever so fantastic! My friend Alli and I did the catering for the weekend - it went well...........mostly............. we just won't talk about the sausage sizzle for Saturday's lunch - what happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen (only problem with that plan is that I think most people outside kitchen heard me yelling from inside the kitchen anyway) Last year we had 30 people and I'll just add that I noticed the difference in cooking for 45 people. So all in all it was a good though busy weekend and the passing of this camp means that our holiday to Palm Cove/Port Douglas is not far away at all! Bring it on!!
