Steve and I are not what you would call "green thumbs." We're more the "can't we just put concrete there?" kind of gardeners. Anyway - we've been waiting to have time and for it to stop raining long enough for us to at least mow the front lawn. Today was the day!! We have always had problems with whipper snippers. We've had four since we've been married and returned two within a week of getting them with some fault or another. We don't have this trouble with other gardening instruments - just whipper snippers. So the day started with weeding, then a trip to Bunnings to get line for the whipper snipper (this wasn't so bad as we got sausages and cold drinks from the Bunnings BBQ) then back home to put the whipper snipper back together and on with the snipping, mowing, sweeping etc. The front yard looks quite presentable now though we are planning a "working bee" for the back yard so the youth group kids should beware!! Our gardening extravaganza ended with a prayer of "God please don't let the weeds grow back ever. Amen."
